Truck Collision on Freeway 104 Disrupts Hood Canal Bridge Visitors

A crash close to the west finish of the Hood Canal Bridge closed visitors for a number of hours on Tuesday, Dec. 9, in response to Washington State Patrol.

In keeping with a social media publish by WSP, a trailer truck towing a rubbish truck early within the afternoon was driving east on Freeway 104, towards the bridge, when it misplaced management and hit a utility pole. The tow truck’s brakes didn’t work, in response to an early report posted to social media by WSP Trooper Katherine Weatherwax. As well as, the truck needed to be towed away from the scene as a result of it was leaking gas.

Visitors backed up on either side of the bridge after it closed to visitors as a result of crash. Visitors was alternating by round 4 p.m., in response to Weatherwax and the Washington State Division of Transportation.

A number of hours later, a crash occurred on Freeway 3 on the Kitsap facet, a number of miles south of the bridge. Round 9 p.m. a 55-year-old girl from Port Ludlow was driving north close to the place Pioneer Freeway meets Freeway 3. The girl, driving a F350 truck, tried a u-turn on the freeway, in response to a Washington State Patrol incident report. Whereas the truck was turning, a Ford Ranger pushed by a 17-year-old boy was head south and struck the F350 at its passenger door, rolling that truck over. The crash blocked the southbound lanes of Freeway 3.
