New Delhi: The federal government on Monday mentioned it has launched Rs 260.20 crore to rural native our bodies in Kerala as a part of the fifteenth Finance Fee grants for the monetary 12 months 2025-26.

The quantity represents the primary instalment of untied grants and covers all 14 district panchayats, 152 block panchayats and 9,414 gram panchayats (GPs) within the state, in keeping with an official assertion.

Untied grants are supposed to be utilised by rural native our bodies/PRIs for location-specific felt wants below the 29 topics listed within the Eleventh Schedule of the Structure, aside from salaries and different institution expenditures.

The federal government, by way of the Ministry of Panchayati Raj and the Ministry of Jal Shakti (Division of Ingesting Water and Sanitation), recommends launch of fifteenth Finance Fee grants to states for Panchayati Raj Establishments, that are then launched by the Ministry of Finance.
