Railways will increase 116 coaches in 37 premium trains following Indigo flight disruptions
In view of the surge in passenger demand following widespread flight cancellations, the Indian Railways has deployed 116 extra coaches in 37 premium trains working over 114 enhanced journeys throughout the nation.
A press assertion from the Railway Ministry mentioned that the Southern Railway (SR) has carried out the very best variety of augmentations, enhancing capability in 18 trains.
“Extra Chair Automobile and Sleeper Class coaches have been deployed on high-demand routes. These augmentations, applied from 6 December 2025 onward, considerably develop lodging capability within the southern area,” the word mentioned.
It added, “Northern Railway (NR) follows with augmentations on eight trains, including 3AC and Chair Automobile coaches.
