From a long-life seawater battery system for sustained underwater sensing and surveillance purposes to a waterjet propulsion system for quick interceptor craft, the DRDO has handed over seven applied sciences to the armed forces, the federal government stated.

These applied sciences have been developed below the Expertise Growth Fund (TDF) scheme, the defence ministry stated on Friday (December 5, 2025).

“Defence Analysis and Growth Organisation (DRDO) has handed over seven applied sciences developed below the Expertise Growth Fund (TDF) scheme to the three Companies,” it stated in a press release.

“The applied sciences are — an indigenous high-voltage energy provide for airborne self-protection jammers, a tide-efficient gangway for naval jetties, superior very low frequency-high frequency switching matrix techniques, VLF loop aerials for underwater platforms, indigenous waterjet propulsion system for quick interceptor craft, a novel course of for restoration of lithium precursors from used lithium-ion batteries and a long-life seawater battery system for sustained underwater sensing and surveillance purposes,” the ministry stated.
