Central North Carolina Braces for Weekend Winter Climate


Meteorologists say that snow may come to elements of central North Carolina this weekend. Jonathan Blaes of the Nationwide Climate Service in Raleigh says that North Carolina may see two storm programs on Saturday and Sunday.

These storms will deliver rain to southern elements of North Carolina and alongside the coast and will probably deliver wintry precipitation to the world, particularly late Sunday to Monday.

Blaes says that after these storm programs transfer out, central North Carolina may see some arctic air coming to the world early subsequent week.

A Winter Climate Advisory stays in impact for northern central North Carolina till midday on Friday.

The Nationwide Climate Service says snow accumulation quantities have been decreased

additional since Thursday for counties together with Orange, Durham, Individual, Vance, and Granville.

Snow and sleet as much as a half inch are anticipated, notably close to the Virginia border.
