Tamil Nadu continues to receive strong rainfall under the influence of Cyclone Ditva, and IMD expects showers across much of the country through December including Bengaluru.

The IMD has issued a fresh weather alert for Karnataka, cautioning that temperatures are set to dip across several districts in the coming days. Coastal regions are also likely to see heavy rain along with thunderstorms.
IMD forecasts that Bengaluru may see moderate to heavy rain on Sunday, with chilly winds and early morning fog expected across the city.
The IMD has forecast a noticeable dip in minimum temperatures across districts such as Belgaum, Bidar, Vijayapura, Bengaluru Urban, Bengaluru Rural, Mandya, Mysuru, Chikkamagaluru and Shivamogga. Coastal areas including Mangaluru, Udupi and Uttara Kannada are likely to receive rain, with minimum temperatures expected to stay between 17°C and 19°C.
In Bengaluru, dense fog and chilly winds are expected to persist during the morning hours, causing inconvenience for early commuters. The city’s maximum temperature is likely to hover around 28°C, while the minimum may stay near 17°C.
The IMD has warned that ongoing rain in the coastal belt could trigger waterlogging in low-lying areas. Along with Karnataka, states such as Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Telangana are also likely to experience a dip in temperatures in the coming days.
