A shocking road accident in Romania sent a speeding Mercedes flying after the driver reportedly fainted. According to Euro Weekly News, the incident unfolded on December 3 in the city of Oradea when the 55-year-old driver of the car suffered a severe diabetic episode and fainted while driving.
A viral video shows the car speeding into a roundabout the wrong way, hitting the pavement, and flying several feet into the air. It reached over a bus and two cars, narrowly missed a road camera, and crashed into a metal pole just metres from a petrol station.
People living nearby said they heard “a thunderous crash” when the car came down, the police said, as reported by Euro Weekly News.

“Why was bro playing GTA in real life,” a third user reacted.
The report stated that emergency crews rescued the driver from the wreck and rushed him to hospital. The driver sustained several fractures but no life-threatening injuries. Authorities suspended his licence for 90 days and fined him 1,600 Romanian leu (about Rs 27,000). An investigation is still ongoing, the report said.
In 2023, football player Sofian Kiyine’s Mercedes-Benz took a flight after striking a roundabout at extremely high speed in Liege, Belgium. The vehicle reportedly flew more than 100 feet before crashing through the wall of a sports hall, finally coming to rest inside the facility.
In CCTV footage, the Mercedes was seen travelling far faster than the surrounding traffic just seconds before the impact. After hitting the concrete rim of the roundabout, the driver lost control, sending the car soaring through the air and crashing violently into the building, leaving a large hole in the wall where it struck. Kiyine was later admitted to hospital with several major injuries.
