The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have remained at No. 9 in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll while they await their College Football Playoff fate.
The lack of movement isn’t terribly surprising, since the regular season is over for the Irish and they did not play this weekend.

There aren’t many big moves, save for North Texas dropping three spots to No. 23 after losing to Tulane, and Tulane jumping four spots to No. 17. Virginia fell by four spots to No. 20 after losing to Duke.
Perhaps the most notable move involves the top five — Ohio State slides two spots to No. 3 after losing to Indiana in the Big Ten championship game. The game was a battle of previously undefeated teams, and obviously, Indiana remains so with the win.
We’ll see how the poll affects the CFP committee, which will unveil the field soon. The top five is Indiana (up one), Georgia (up one after beating Alabama in the SEC championship game), Ohio State, Texas Tech (up one) and Oregon (down one).
The rest of the top 10 is Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Notre Dame and Miami (FL) (up two).

Playoff bubble teams Alabama and BYU are Nos. 11 and 12, each losing a spot.
