BJP Appoints Piyush Goyal as In-Cost for Tamil Nadu Elections, Assigns Panda for Assam

The Bharatiya Janata Get together (BJP) on Monday (December 15, 2025) made Union Minister Piyush Goyal the ballot in-charge of Tamil Nadu and put Lok Sabha MP Baijayant Panda accountable for its marketing campaign in Assam.

An earlier notification had stated that Mr. Panda would deal with Tamil Nadu, however he has been changed by Mr. Goyal and given cost of Assam, the place he had been the in-charge in the course of the 2021 polls. Mr. Goyal has expertise in dealing with Tamil Nadu having facilitated the BJP-AIADMK alliance earlier than the 2019 elections. 

Union Ministers Arjun Ram Meghwal and Muralidhar Mohol have been appointed as co-in-charge with Mr. Goyal. Sunil Kumar Sharma, Chief of Opposition within the Jammu & Kashmir Meeting, and Darshana Ben Jardosh, former Union Minister, are co-in-charge of Assam.
