Draft Roll Replace: 58 Lakh Names at Danger of Deletion in Bengal SIR

The Election Fee began publication of the draft Electoral rolls on Sunday night and it continued the entire evening on Sunday, a high EC official advised ET. Bengal Particular Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls began on December 4 and continued until December 11, which was the prolonged date.

“Since yesterday night, the main target was on the publication of ER,” a high EC official advised ET, including that the publication work had continued all evening.

After publication of the draft Electoral rolls, Claims and Objection interval will proceed from December 16, 2025, to January 17, 2026. The discover section (Listening to & Verification) will begin from December 16 and proceed until February 7,2026. Publication of Ultimate Electoral Rolls can be on February, 2026.

As per the standing report on Saturday 12PM, in Bengal, altogether 58,20,897 lakh plus (7.6% of the overall electors) names are set to get deleted and greater than 31,39,815 folks will go for listening to, as per the standing report of Election Fee.
