Son Arrested for Allegedly Fatally Stabbing Parents at Long Island Deli

The crazed son who allegedly knifed his parents to death inside their family-owned Long Island deli was sitting in the parking lot covered in blood when cops arrived at the grisly scene, police said Friday.

Vito D’Ambrosio, 30, fatally stabbed his parents, Antonio D’Ambrosio and Angela Pulisciano – 70 and 62 respectively – just after 9 a.m. Thursday inside the A & A Italian Deli in Bethpage, police said.

When Nassau County cops descended on the scene, a blood-soaked Vito was sitting in the adjoining parking lot, authorities said.

Officers had a “short conversation” with Vito before arresting him, police said.

A short time earlier, witness Joe Boros told WABC he spotted the accused killer stepping out of the deli and admitting, “I just stabbed my parents.”

His mother was pronounced dead at the scene, while his father succumbed to his grave injuries at a local hospital, cops said.

Several minutes before the murders, Vito allegedly went to a local coffee shop and slapped the buttocks of a female clerk, an incident that was also called into 911, police revealed.

Vito was also partly estranged from his family – all from Seaford – over a previous clash with a sibling, who had an order of protection against him issued just last month, police said.

He has been fitted with an ankle monitor ever since, cops said.

Vito was charged with first-degree murder, but remains hospitalized and undergoing an evaluation, with a bedside arraignment expected later in the day.

During his virtual bedside arraignment Friday, he pleaded not guilty and was ordered held without bail, according to the Nassau County DA’s Office.

He was represented by attorney Raymond Queliz, a private 18B lawyer contracted by the county and paid per case on behalf of people who can’t afford representation.

Police couldn’t comment on his history of mental health issues, but said he has also had “other interactions with law enforcement.”
