IndiGo flights cancelled live: Crisis-hit IndiGo on Monday said that refunds worth ₹827 crore were paid to customers for cancelled flights between November 21 to December 7, the ministry of civil aviation has said, adding that over 5.8 lakh customers were impacted by wave of mass cancellations of IndiGo airlines.

Taking a tough stand on the IndiGo crisis, the minister said that the action against the airlines after inquiry will set an example for other airlines.

She said that she checked the flight status before leaving but only learnt about her cancelled flight after reaching the airport. With no option left, she said she had to buy tickets worth ₹47,000.
“We have come here about 2 hours earlier, they have not even told us, there is no communication, flight is cancelled…The flight from Bengaluru to Mumbai, which is the same aircraft that goes back, has already been cancelled, which means clearly they knew there was no flight coming,” she told PTI.
“And right now we have just booked a ticket which was almost 47,000 rupees, just because there is no other option. The least they can do is put us on another flight, bear that cost, why should we be paying that cost,” she added.
